A man has sadly lost his life in a car crash in Texas. Meanwhile, a woman and a child who were involved in the car crash suffered injuries in the collision. The accident involved a single automobile and occurred on a recent Saturday morning.
Details of the accident
According to police, a man was driving a pickup truck but then began to drift among multiple lanes due to high winds in the area. He then reportedly entered a nearby ditch and flipped over. Both the man and a child, 4, were thrown from the automobile.
The man and the child both suffered grave injuries in the accident. A woman was also riding in the pickup truck and suffered serious injuries. All three were taken to a medical center where the man ended up passing away as a result of his injuries.
Potential consequences moving forward
Police ultimately determined that the car accident occurred due to the man’s negligence. Perhaps the man was not driving carefully enough given the weather conditions at the time of the rollover crash. In this situation, the injured woman may choose to file a personal injury claim, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the collision. Although the man died in the crash, she may still file a suit against his estate and also against anyone else with an ownership interest in the pickup truck he was driving. If she is successful, she may receive damages to cover hospital expenses and other accident-related losses.
