Single-car crash leads to 4 deaths

On Behalf of | Nov 19, 2021 | Wrongful Death

Four individuals’ lives have sadly been snuffed out in a motor vehicle accident in Texas. The accident took place during the early morning hours on a recent Monday. Sometimes, these types of crashes occur due to driver negligence—such as speeding—which is grounds for litigation.

Events leading up to the accident

The tragic accident took place at about 12:45 a.m. According to police, a car was going north along FM 252 and suddenly left the roadway. The car then struck a tree.

Authorities said they believed that the driver of the car was driving too quickly while trying to navigate a curve. Tragically, the driver and the driver’s three passengers were killed in the collision. Authorities continued to investigate the wreck.

How an attorney can help in these tragic situations

The surviving loved ones of the three passengers who lost their lives in the tragic Texas crash may choose to file wrongful death claims, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the accident. Even though the driver of the car involved in the crash ended up dying as well, this person’s estate may still be sued. Likewise, anyone else with an ownership interest in the car may be sued.

If the plaintiffs are victorious in their suits, they may receive damage awards to cover the passengers’ burial expenses, the loss of support for surviving dependents and other expenses resulting from the single-car crash. Financially damages cannot undo the events leading to the fatal crash. However, monetary compensation may help the deceased victims’ surviving loved ones to experience a sense of justice and closure following the life-altering accident.
